While occasional anxiety is normal, persistent symptoms like constant worry, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating can significantly impact well-being and relationships. Drawing on my expertise in EMDR, ACT, Mindfulness, and other somatic-based therapies through counseling, I assist clients in comprehending, accepting, and reprocessing the root causes of their distress, ultimately empowering them to regain control over their nervous system.
Depression can stem from various factors, including genetic, biological, psychological, social, and environmental influences. Major life changes, trauma, and stress may trigger depressive episodes, even when no apparent external cause exists. As an EMDR counselor, I use evidence-based models like CBT, EMDR, ACT, and Mindfulness techniques. During my counseling sessions, I assist clients in pinpointing the root causes of distress and provide support for emotion regulation and coping strategies.
With specialized EMDR training focused on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), parts work, and grief and loss, I address the multifaceted impacts of complex trauma. Individuals facing complex trauma may exhibit symptoms like depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, addictions, disassociation, flashbacks, and more. These responses are the body's way of coping with trauma. Through my specialized counseling, I help clients process their traumatic experiences and we work together to identify healthy coping strategies.
